The Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA) is one of the nation's oldest and largest regional golf associations. It has served golfers and member clubs across the New York metropolitan area through championships and amateur competition for years. The P.J. Boatwright Internship gives students hands-on experience in the business of golf, working inside the association that runs the events.

Throughout my time as a P.J. Boatwright intern, I have contributed to the planning, promotion, and execution of championship-level events. I managed social media channels and delivered live event coverage and reporting for the MGA, WGA, LIGA, and USGA. I had the opportunity to write and publish multiple articles for The Met Golfer Extra, the MGA's digital publication.

I also filmed and edited video content for social media and designed original digital and print materials for MGA events. This included tournament graphics, table cards, and programs. Seeing my work in use on-site at championships was one of the most rewarding parts of the experience.
